St. Mary Catholic Church is proud to announce the 135th annual St. Patrick’s Day Benefit Dinner. It is the longest continuously run charity event in Aspen’s history albeit the 134th dinner was cancelled due to COVID-19 mandates in Colorado. The first dinner held in 1887 raised $21,000 to build the current church structure.

This year’s dinner is only available for pickup and pre-order is required. We are preparing to distribute 500 to-go meals at a rate of 25 meals every 15 minutes from 2:00–7:00 PM. Meals will be distributed from the alley behind St. Mary Catholic Church. Please pull into the alley or park on the East side along Hunter Street to pick up your order. Masks are required when picking up your meal(s).

This year’s dinner menu features roast beef, mashed potatoes, homemade gravy, coleslaw, green beans, and a brownie/cookie.  Parishioners, locals, and restaurants graciously prepare the food.

Pre-order is required. Click here to place your order. Please signup soon to ensure your order and timeslot, and to help us prepare accordingly. You may also call the Church office at (970) 925-7339.

The goal of the event is to raise money for the St. Mary Charity Assistance Fund.  The proceeds are distributed to those in need throughout the Roaring Fork Valley regardless of the recipient’s faith. St. Mary Parish and Catholic Charities Western Slope work together to provide family advocacy, food, housing, utilities, transportation, thrift store vouchers, prescription, medical and dental care to those in need.

There is no fee charged for the dinner, however, we greatly appreciate a donation to our St. Mary Charity Assistance Fund. Click here to make a secure donation and select “Charity Assistance Fund”. Cash or check donations accepted as well when picking up your order. All donations are tax deductible since the St. Mary Charity Assistance Fund is a 501(c)3 entity.

Many thanks to our St. Patrick’s Benefit Dinner committee members for their dedicated effort in coordinating this event – Shelley Popish, Mark & Alison Viola, Norma Avila, Jeannie Walla, Chris & Donna King, and Beverly Weaver. Thank you!
